Dentist in Clearwater
Get to Know Christopher S. Cannady, DMD
For Dr. Cannady, the best thing about being a general dentist in Clearwater is having the ability to offer a wide range of dental treatments based on his patients’ unique needs. He has experience with routine fillings, crown and bridge, cosmetic dentistry treatments, removable appliances, root canals, orthodontics, tooth extractions, dental implants, sedation dentistry, and more. This skill set allows him to fully personalize every treatment plan so that the journey toward a refreshed smile is just as pleasant as the result.
Why Did You Want to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Cannady decided to become a dentist after he graduated from Michigan State University. He had explored many career options, including computer science, biomedical engineering, and medicine, but none of these checked all of the boxes he was looking for in his work life.
What he found is that he loved the many different options the profession offers day to day. Dentistry involves wearing a lot of "hats"- medicine, engineering, art, psychology, and business to name a few. This keeps it interesting and motivates him to always learn more!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Cannady earned a B.S. in Physiology before going on to graduate from the Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. Before acquiring this practice, he gained experience working as a dentist along the Atlantic coast of Florida. It was during this time that he obtained the confidence and experience he needed as a dental practice owner.
During his time as a Clearwater dentist, Dr. Cannady has taken nearly 300 hours of continuing education, including courses involving full mouth rehabilitations, occlusion, root canals, Invisalign, dental implants, and sedation dentistry. He is also actively involved with the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

You can always find him at the gym after work, giving his all weightlifting. He also loves to scuba dive a few times a year, watch hockey (go Bolts!), play board games, travel to new places in the US and internationally, and spend time with friends and family.
